Opinion
Jump then Fall
2/19/2015
Merriam - Webster defined the word conclusion as "an opinion or decision that is formed after a period of thought or research." Let me emphasize on the phrase "after a period of thought or research." This only means that before making a conclusion, you have to either ponder on it or research about it. You have to gather facts, opinions, philosophies and all other sources to guide you in making a solution. In short, you cannot just make a conclusion out of thin air but then again, why do we always jump into conclusions?
I believe that there are two reasons why we jump into conclusions. First, we jump into conclusions because, well, it is easy. No need to think. No need to research. No need to make an effort. It's like snapping your fingers and in thin air, the answer is in front of you. Just like that. The second reason is that people jump into conclusions because in their hearts and in their minds, they know that that conclusion is the truth and that truth is the conclusion. However, these two reasons lead to one common danger - wrong conclusions.
That's the very reason why jumping into conclusions is simply wrong and dangerous. It's either we embarrass ourselves or we embarrass others because right at the beginning, our conclusion is not a conclusion. It was only an assumption and it will only be a conclusion when we face it head on. Ask. Research. Think. Be the bigger and better person because in the end, you're the one who can only please yourself.
Unfortunately, in that journey, it's either we gain or lose. It's either we lose someone or strengthen a relationship but it's never about winning or losing. It's about finding persons who can help and guide you become the person that you want to be in the next twenty-four hours.
