2012 already wrapped itself up a few days ago and because of that, articles saying how awesome or lonesome the previous year was started to go around the blog-o-sphere. Renowned authors and bloggers took a toll on themselves and measure if they live up to their expectations during the year 2012 but as for me, I will be quite different. Life is too short to dwell upon the past so this blog post will contain the 13 things I want to do or see before 2013 end. :D

1. Love my perfectly imperfect "me" - I am proud of myself that I actually lose weight during the course of my high school life but that doesn't mean that I am immune to insecurities. Being surrounded with the female specie almost 24/7, I cannot stop myself from comparing myself to others. Sometimes, I wish that I will be taller, thinner or have longer hair so during this year, I am going to try to focus on myself. I'm going to try to improve myself rather than climb up to the level of other girls that I consider as modelesque because I am happy to be perfectly imperfect.

2. Worrywart no more - I am a self confessed worrywart. I worry about the little things. I worry about my grades and my school performance. I always obsess if my presentation will not be boring or if a school trip will be safe and I'll be able to spend a good time with my classmates. So, this year, I will try to at least lessen being anxious and just go with the flow.

3. Me ≠ Judgemental - I am judgemental in a way that I judge people based on their appearance. The saying, "Don't a judge a book by its cover" is so cliche but it is true. Judging a person based on their looks can actually make us miss out on the best persons we could ever meet. It doesn't matter if a person is wearing branded clothes or has already bagged the iPhone 5. It also doesn't matter if a person is of a simple kind. The personality is what matters and if they have it, then we found a diamond in the rough.

4. Be contended - In a very materialistic world, it is so difficult to be contented. It is like a new kind of phone pops out every month or even in a week and ours will be considered as outdated. We may always have the urge to buy gadgets and clothes in order to be "in" which leads us to being uncontented. We never fully grasp the idea that we are blessed to have the luxury to buy anything we want while others can't even afford a sack of rice so this year, contentment is my word.

5. Learn to let go - Learn to let go in the sense that I cannot part ways with all of my so-called treasures which degraded to being trashes in the few years back. All of our things may be fruits of our hardwork or can be a part of a winning performance in our lives but if it takes a lot of space on our closet, it is time to move on and make more memories.
