New Beginnings was the title of the song that our group composed for our recently concluded Music Appreciation class. Said song mainly revolves around the upcoming 2016 Philippine Election and how every one of us must think twice, thrice and even more about who to vote. However, for me, the phrase new beginnings mark something personal and dear to me. Evidence of which is the newly renovated and reformatted blog you are now reading which is now called Constantly Lost, Constantly Seeking.

So, how did I came about with the new title? The main suspect was supermodel Karlie Kloss whom vlogs I always watch from time to time. In one of her vlogs, she shared what her favorite word is (which unfortunately, I could not seem to remember and find from her numerous vlogs) and somehow, it got me thinking. What is my favorite word? Less than a heartbeat after, I said lost

Lost frequently causes a negative impact or thinking to other persons however, it denotes something real and honest to me because one way or the other, we are all lost. Yes we have plans, maps and inspiration boards to help us but no one really knows what will happen later, tomorrow or the day after. As such, we are all lost of what the future will bring to us. I've also chosen the word lost because it has been greatly emphasized in two of my favorite books such as John Green's Paper Towns and Gayle Forman's Just One Day. Both books tell stories of how a person finds himself/herself by surrendering to the chaos and, yes you guessed it, getting lost to be found.

However, there is a second part of my new blog title which is seeking. Of course, if you are lost, you have to seek. Ever heard of game called hide-and-seek? Well, if you have, let me use it as a symbolism for life. In the realities of life, there are many things that are hiding and yet to be found. Such may include success, financial stability, love, friends and belonging. All of these sound good and enticing but gaining these things come with a price. It may need you to be hurt, rejected, insulted and buried deep inside a tar pit but in the end, you'll see that it was all worth it.

It was worth it.

And now, from the new title of this blog, all of you can see where I am personally standing on. From being a young and restless girl to becoming a person who values being raw and real, I am now changed into a young adult who seeks to find herself in a world of uncertainties, surprises and challenges. And how should I do that? How must I seek the so-called Great Perhaps?

Get lost.
