One of my classmates said that I had been receiving a lot of blessings this past few days. I would not elaborate on this because it may sound as a little bit selfish and proud so let's keep in the down low. Anyway, this comment kept me thinking and it made me realize that yes, everything seems to be falling into place and everything is going good but then again, one question always haunts me every time something good happens to me. The question is: how long will it last?

It's definitely scary to think that all of this can disappear in a blink of an eye. As Project Runway's Heidi Klum always says, "One day you're in, the next day you're out." Nothing is permanent and every good thing can turn bad and every problem can morph into a blessing. As for me, I choose not to be scared. I do not want to be haunted by the terrifying question above. I do not want to be negative. I just want to stay positive. Like I said, it's all in the mind.

Before this school year began, I chose to have a different perspective. I want to be, somehow, different from how I used to be. I changed my mindset. Instead of being afraid, I chose to be fearless. Instead of saying no, I shouted yes. Instead of letting people decide for me, I chose to stand up.

And at this very moment, I can say that this mindset was the main reason for all of the positive things that is happening to me. This is the mastermind of everything because it pushed me to be a better person. It helped me see the bigger picture and not to limit myself in the boundaries that I have come to know and love. It anchored my life and it became my foundation and rock and you know what, you can also do this. You can also change your mindset.

Before changing what kind of perspective you want to have, you should stop and reflect on what kind of life you are having and what kind of life you want. You must envision your goal. You must imagine the finish line and the routes you have to take to attain it but you should also realize how you are going to react to the different routes. This is what you call the mindset.

The next thing is to slowly but surely, rearrange your perspective. Take into account the things that you consider important or necessary into your life then mold your mindset into it. Make your mindset your own. Do not copy anyone else's because theirs can be difficult for you or it could be ineffective to you so make your own. Everything is up to you.

The last step is to finally lay down your mindset. How? Well, one day, you are just going to wake up and realize that this is the day. This is the day that everything will change once and for all. Of course this is simply a metaphor. This is not what exactly happens. Since all of us are distinct from one another, this last step can occur differently but one thing remains the same: you will know your mindset is different when you can feel it bubbling inside of you. I guarantee you. You will feel it and you're just gonna go with it without hesitation.

As a parting word, I just want to say that yes, a person can change their mindset but what stays is their principles. It's up to you interpret what I mean because we all have different mindsets in the first place.
